I read online how important it is for the kids at Basic Training (officially called Basic Combat Traning BCT; not bootcamp, bootcamp is the Marines!) to get mail. They all huddle waiting for their names to be called every day at mail call. So I thought what a bummer it would be not to hear your name. I plan on writing him everyday. So those of you that are reading this, please write often and send pictures if you can. It really boost morale. I don't have an address for him yet. I read that they won't get an address until they start BCT. Then within 72 hours they are supposed to send a letter with a mailing address.
Even so, I have been writing him a letter every day since he left. I guess he will get one big package of letters! It has real helped me get through being without him.
I hope to hear from him soon and check the mail box everyday as soon as the mail comes for whatever it was that he was able to send.
