I got a short letter from Cass today!  Basically just giving me the address.

Also, put:

on the back of the envelope at the point where the flap comes over.  This is for easier sorting.  He is in Platoon 1 and they call themselves the BullDAWGS.

The address also tells me (though Cass did not) that he is in "A" Company and is with an Infantry Battalion.   Though Cass is a Chemical Operations Specialist and not Infantry, it is not uncommon for the Chemical people to train with an Infantry Battalion because there is not enough Chemical people to make up a Platoon.

He of course tells me he is low on $$, only has $27 dollars, and doesn't know if he will get paid in 30 days or 6 weeks.

He wants PICTURES of his friends and not necessarily with him in there and letters.  

If you are reading this, please write him as often as you can and send pictures.  It really makes a difference.

I sent him all my letters (one a day since he left), a few pictures, a little money, and some "supplies."  They cannot have candy so a lot of them want Hall cough drops (no vit. C allowed).  So I sent a couple of those and lots of bandaides for blistered feet and hands.
